Why We Need

Global Voice

Multi-lingual learners' (MLLs) graduation rates (dark blue) compared to total overall graduation rates (light blue) for the bottom twelve performing states. MLLs are the fastest growing demographic in US public schools and the backbone of our future workforce. MLLs who graduate from high school are more likely to be employed. If they are employed they are more likely to earn significantly more money than non-graduates. They are also less likely to be incarcerated, more likely to be physically healthy and enjoy a higher life expectancy than non-graduates.
